Zonta Club of Quirino provides awareness on local gender-based violence laws

The Zonta Club of Quirino, Philippines, reached out to one of the remotest barangay in their province to hold an open lecture and forum on the Republic Act 9262, also known as the Anti-Violence against Women and Children Act, the Republic Act 11313 or the Safe Spaces Act and the Republic Act No. 7877 or the Anti-Sexual Harassment Act of 1995 with the local women. Local officials also attended the event.

The club educated the women about their rights protected by the law, and distributed food packages and tokens as a sign of gratitude. The smiles on the women's faces made the club's day.
