Greetings Friend,

Happy May!

I am filled with pride for all we have accomplished together during the 2022-2024 Biennium. Although there were setbacks for gender equity from the COVID-19 pandemic, we embodied the Zonta Spirit by pushing forward with unwavering determination and taking bold actions across the globe to overcome these challenges.

Within my goals for the biennium, I challenged each and every Zonta member, club and district to go above and beyond, to elevate their advocacy efforts to new heights, and to become true champions for gender equity in their communities. And, as Zontians, we rose to that challenge – leading the way for change and encouraging others to follow in our footsteps. We made monumental progress in forming and chartering new clubs, while inspiring others to add their voices to our mission, cementing Zonta International's position as a global leader on gender equity.

As we head into our next adventure in the new biennium, I invite you all to reflect on your successes. We have accomplished so much in the last two years, and we should be proud of our achievements. I am excited to see all of you in Brisbane, Australia, and I invite all who cannot attend in person to join us as virtual attendees. Please note that convention sessions have already started, so register now to not miss anything.

Thank you for all your work in building a better world for women and girls during the 2022-2024 Biennium. Your passion, time, wonderful ideas and generous donations to the Zonta Foundation for Women have been instrumental in our success, and I am confident that with your continued commitment, we will achieve even greater things in the future.

Warm regards,
Ute Scholz
President 2022-2024

Vivek Mahbubani is a Hong Kong-bred bilingual stand-up comedian performing in both English and Cantonese. As Hong Kong's first male Zontian, he will joke in English about all the funny quirks of being an Indian in a predominantly Chinese community, how he loves virtual comedy performances and why he still hasn't successfully learned yoga.

Register for convention today to enjoy a laughter-filled session with Vivek.

Zontians in Action

Zonta members are taking action to create a better world for women and girls! Read the stories below highlighting how Zonta clubs are empowering their communities to strive for gender equity.

Zonta Club of Accra sponsors teachers for STEM training

Knowing that STEM curriculum is essential for improving education in Ghana, the Zonta Club of Accra is sponsoring 10 teachers per year for the next three years for STEM training at the Practical Education Network (PEN).

This training has helped the teachers impart their knowledge to the students using basic tools that are easily accessible and affordable. They can also capture the students' attention because of the interesting tools they use. The club hopes that by supporting the schools with STEM training, they will be sowing seeds of innovation, curiosity and discovery into the minds of the next generation. The training for the next batch of 10 teachers will begin in June 2024.

Zonta Club of Zagreb forms bibliotherapy forum on International Women's Day

In celebration of International Women's Day, The Zonta Club of Zagreb, Croatia, organized a bibliotherapy forum to encourage women to open up, process their emotions and better understand themselves.

During the forum, the club discussed different bibliotherapeutic techniques. Reading books, participating in bibliotherapy workshops and writing a diary are recommended techniques for girls and women of all ages to help them cope with stressful situations and overcome difficult life periods.
