Z Club of the North Country celebrates International Women's Day

On 8 March, Grace Denious and Paul Hurlburt from the Z Club of the North Country, USA, walked into downtown Glens Falls to hand out yellow roses in honor of International Women's Day and Zonta Rose Day.

The student members attached a card to each rose explaining why the recipient received a rose and asked them to post a picture of their rose on social media and tag the student club to help celebrate the achievements of women worldwide and encourage people to continue to fight for gender equality across the globe.

Although the student club is still relatively new to the area, with a few members, this event introduced its name into the community. The rose recipients were so touched, and many thanked them for taking the time to recognize the day. One recipient's daughter was so excited to be included that she gave Grace a big hug to thank her!
