Zonta Club of Tuguegarao honors inspiring women on International Women's Day and Rose Day

As the Philippines celebrates International Women's Day, the Zonta Club of Tuguegarao, in line with the Zonta International community, also celebrates Rose Day on 8 March to reflect and give tribute to the women who have empowered and inspired them in various ways.

The club celebrated the special day by visiting women leaders and other Zonta members who are doing great work and impacting the lives of women and men alike by advocating for equality and freedom. Zontian Malia Ting Que, also the city's mayor, was one of the recipients of the club's yellow rose. They presented a yellow rose to Amy Calubaquib and Ophel Parallag from the city government, city councilor Charo Soriano and Zontian Alanis Pascual. The club also gave a rose to Melanie Urbi and Alma Ramirez.

The club wishes a happy International Women's Day and Rose Day to all dedicated Zontians who continuously strive to make positive changes for women and girls around the world!
