Zonta Club of Paradise Point Inc. celebrates empathy and advocacy through charity performance
The Zonta Club of Paradise Point Inc., Australia, joyously celebrates the success of the recent charity performance of the musical "DOGFIGHT," in collaboration with the esteemed Spotlight Theatre Company. "DOGFIGHT" delved into themes of empathy, growth and the intricacies of human relationships, striking a chord with modern audiences. Its message of empathy and kindness resonates deeply with Zonta's mission, urging all to see beyond surface judgments and treat others with dignity and respect.
Inspired by the musical's setting in the socially charged 1960s, a time marked by fervent social activism, our club members embarked on a symbolic walk, proudly carrying placards showcasing Zonta's advocacy and service projects. From promoting gender equality to combating domestic violence and supporting breast cancer survivors, their commitment to positive change shines brightly.
As the club celebrate its achievements, it also reflects on its core values as well as Zonta’s. Together, it envisions a world where women and girls thrive and is dedicated to making that vision a reality.
This remarkable event took place during National Domestic Violence Prevention Month in May, which was strategically chosen to raise awareness. Through ribbon distribution and information sharing, the club encouraged attendees to wear the ribbon throughout May, sparking discussions and fostering solutions to this critical issue.
