Zonta Club of Rockhampton Inc hosts successful high tea event

To celebrate their 40th anniversary, the Zonta Club of Rockhampton, Australia, held a high tea event at Victoria's Secret Garden function room. Area 2 Director Robyn drove from Gladstone to attend the function with Club President Trish to cut the anniversary cake.

Zontian Nyree emceeded the event, which included live music to add to the afternoon's atmosphere.

Attendees enjoyed a high tea of savories followed by sweets served at intervals during the afternoon.

Since August 1983, the club has raised thousands of dollars, most of which has been returned to the local community through local projects and the rest to the Zonta Foundation for Women.

The club began with a membership of 32 dedicated women committed to "empowering women and girls worldwide through service and advocacy." Currently, 23 club members are committed to building a better world for women and girls.
