Zonta e-Club of Queensland assembles birthing kits with students

On 31 October, the Zonta e-Club of Queensland, Australia, teamed up with their Golden Z club in-formation to assemble 200 birthing kits at the Griffith University Gold Coast Campus.

At just AU$5 each, the kits have the potential to save the lives of 200 mothers and their babies. The club plans to send the kits to Papua New Guinea, where not only does Zonta have an international service project but also where a Zonta club is forming: the Zonta Club of Lae.

The club also educated the students about the needs of women in remote regions without medical facilities while recruiting more members. Eight students joined the student club at this event.
