Zonta Club of Montevideo aids vulnerable women on International Women's Day
On the occasion of International Women's Day, the Zonta Club of Montevideo, Uruguay, put up a poster at the entrance of the municipality building in the town of Ciudad de la Costa. The poster displayed a free helpline number for women who are dealing with domestic violence. The mayor, who is a woman, was also present during the event.
The poster serves as an important tool for the highly populated area with many women in vulnerable situations. The club plans to repeat this action in other communities to advocate for women's rights and well-being.
