Zonta Club of Corvallis partners with local university athletics

Since 2019, the Zonta Club of Corvallis, USA, has partnered with Oregon State University Athletics to provide shuttle ticket sales to home football games as a club fundraiser for operations. Every fall at each of the six home games, Zontians work eight different states around the city selling bus shuttle tickets to fans.

This minimal-effort project results in several benefits:

• Benefit #1: The club created a lucrative fundraiser that offsets membership dues, making the club more attractive to potential new members.
• Benefit #2: By wearing Zonta emblazoned aprons, the club promotes recognition and curiosity about what Zonta is all about. Volunteers often have the opportunity to educate football fans on Zonta's mission and the club's local presence.
• Benefit #3: By offering an alternative to driving and looking for parking near the stadium, fans can reduce their carbon footprint by parking in a central location and paying a minimum fee for a ride to the stadium.
