Zonta Club of Bunbury Inc celebrates Hidden Gems at International Women's Day Breakfast event

The Zonta Club of Bunbury Inc, Australia, paid tribute to and celebrated five local women, dubbed "Hidden Gems," at its International Women's Day Breakfast. The event was sold out, and the 190 attendees included sponsors, school leaders, members of other local groups and the Kingia Z Club.

The Hidden Gems program acknowledges women's important volunteer roles within the Bunbury community. It is not an award program but a public tribute to many women who give their time and energy to help others.

Club members nominated the women who received complimentary tickets to the event, a yellow rose and a certificate of commendation. The club also made a donation to the Zonta Foundation for Women in honor of all five women.

Guest speaker Flight Lieutenant Sue Freeman gave an inspirational and humorous address, encouraging those present to "do what they love doing!"

The event resulted in membership inquiries and five women attending the following club meeting.
